I'm sixteen now. Still not feeling any different. (Besides the growing anxiety at drawing ever nearer to that time when I'll need to figure out what I'm going to do with my life. And when I'll be expected to drive. [Unlike every other person my age, that is not something I'm looking forward to.])
School's been good so far. Athletics has been kicking my butt after I let myself spend almost three months in a near vegetative state, but otherwise things are good.
Have you ever forgotten to reply to a roleplay, and by the time you remember it's already been quite a while; long enough that you feel awkward and guilty, so you keep putting it off cause you're afraid they'll be mad at you for leaving them hanging, only to realize that it's been over a month since you've replied(even though you still want to continue)? What? No, of course I haven't, that would make me a terrible person.
Just letting those who weren't already aware know that I am still alive. Hopefully, I'll find the inspiration to write something intelligible down soon, though I wouldn't hold my breath. Love you, guys. Stay safe, and God bless.
Day Two of Super Long Road Trip: Natural Bridge
Meant to write a journal telling you guys I was going on one, then forgot. ^^; Oh wells. Anyway, day one doesn't count since that was filled completely with driving, so I'll just tell you guys about today.
Any of you people ever heard of Natural Bridge? If you have, you'll probably know that it's in Virginia and that it is a naturally formed stone bridge. (Duh.) You might have even seen a picture or two.
Trust me, the pictures don't do it justice.
My first thought when we rounded the corner to see the thing:
Now that's a giant!
Seriously, this thing is huge, as well as beautiful. So far, I've only been able to see it during the light show
Almost There!
Just two more days left of school, and then we're free! I can't believe how quickly this year passed.
Definitely plan to actually get stuff done this summer, cause according to everybody else, Sophmore year isn't going to be nearly as easy as Freshman, and I need to make up for all the free time I'm going to lose. (I always say I'm going to be productive during the summer, and Lord knows how that usually goes...)
Summer goals include learning how to drive, spending a lot more time with my friends than I did last summer, and actually getting some writing done, not just saying that I'm going to.
Sorry for being so absent the past couple of
Meh
Started dissecting a pig fetus today in Biology. Interesting to say the least. Didn't do a very good job of it, was too afraid I'd cut open and organ by mistake, so it took forever before we got all the skin and mucus out of the way to see the digestive system and heart and other such things. (I know; pleasant thoughts, right?) Monday and Tuesday will probably be dedicated to the brain and finishing the packet that went with it. (For some reason, most groups decided to name their pig; ours is Petunia. The most interesting one was Hogzilla.)
Got halfway through "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" today in Speech. Amazing movie, can't wait to fi
Prayer for West
I don't know how many of you may have heard, but last night there was a huge explosion in West, Texas. A fertilizer plant caught fire and blew up, the last estimate leaving 200 injured, 5-15 dead, and many missing. Please include the families in your prayers tonight, as well as the doctors, the firefighters, and the police officers who are dealing with the aftermath and trying to help these people as best they can.
Love you all, good night.
